Hi there,

look at the network diagram in part1.

route 10.22.1.0 255.255.255.0
route 10.22.2.0 255.255.255.0
route 10.22.3.0 255.255.255.0
are used to inform the OpenVPN server that there are those networks on the vpn client site.

push “route 10.22.1.0 255.255.255.0?
push “route 10.22.2.0 255.255.255.0?
push “route 10.22.3.0 255.255.255.0?
are used to push the routing info of each of the VPN client that connect to the server.
This assume that every VPN client need to connect to each other LAN.

push “dhcp-option DNS 10.180.3.12?
is used to push DNS info configuration for each VPN client

Hope this help.

Hello, thank you for writing this excellent how to guide. I have a problem with the setup. In the step where it says - "writing new private key to 'ca.key'" the program is stuck with an error saying - "string is too long, it needs to be less than 2 bytes long". Can you please suggest how to get around this problem. What am I doing wrong?
