Sample Crontab to Schedule Tasks

If we have task that need to be executed periodically, then crontab can help us. Crontab is a very useful to run unattended scheduled tasks. The crontab file defines what is to be done and when. It consists of lines of text. Completely blank lines or lines starting with ‘#’ are ignored.

Scholarships for my son

God bless us. I got a phone call from SMA Presiden. They told me that my son, Noel, qualified for a scholarship at SMA Presiden. So, next year he will be studied at SMA Presiden (boarding school).
I only need to pay Rp 25 million for the first admission. The yearly fee of Rp 50 million/year for 3 years will be free.

The log files are huge. Some of the log files are more than 1 GB.

Error changing default domain COS in Zimbra

Noel take the exam to get scholarship from SMA Presiden

I left the office early today, back to Bandung. After picked up Noel from school, we went to the bus station. Noel take the bus to Cikarang. He will be staying at her aunt house at Cikarang to night. Tomorrow morning, he will take the exam to get scholarship from SMA Presiden.

Launch of Openfire as internal chat server

At last, Openfire was officially published and used as internal chat server in our office. After the soft launch for a few people, on Friday/11 April 2008, this chat server usage was published to all users.
All users can access this chat server from within our LAN or from the internet. There are also some server-to-server connection with other chat server in the group of companies.

2 MX using different links for my office email

Now, our mail system is supported by 2 MX records pointing to 2 mail gateway servers that used different internet links. Those mail gateway servers are linux boxes configured with CentOS + Postfix + ASSP. Quite happy. Now we have redundant link. If one link down, the other link can support the mail system.
