Upgrade Zimbra

Our mail server have been upgraded from Zimbra CS 5.0.2 to Zimbra 5.0.10.
The upgrade process didn’t take long to process, but the backup and restrore process take a quite long time. Due the performance consideration, we also have to remove the RAID-1 configuration by reinstalling the server.  More »

2 MX using different links for my office email

Now, our mail system is supported by 2 MX records pointing to 2 mail gateway servers that used different internet links. Those mail gateway servers are linux boxes configured with CentOS + Postfix + ASSP. Quite happy. Now we have redundant link. If one link down, the other link can support the mail system.

Migrate from M$ Exhange to Zimbra Collaboration Suite

It’s done!!! The mail system migration project already finish. As per 13 March 2008, Zimbra CS replace M$ Exhange Server. This Zimbra CS is cool, rich features, open source, and … free.  Running in Linux box with CentOS 5.0 .

Zimbra antivirus not started

This morning (12 Feb 08) my colleague told me that there is a problem with our client’s mail server. All users canoot received emails. This company use Zimbra CS. The POP3 and SMTP service was running. Later on, we checked that all emails are deffered. Those mail are deffered because of the antivirus service are stop processing all those emails. More »
